The lovable duo of Niko and Mitzy are available to adopt as a pair from Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter

Newcastle cat lovers - allow us to introduce you to Niko and Mitzy. Niko & Mitzy are a shy pair of boys, looking for some reassurance that they are safe and cosy before coming out of their shells for some attention.

Niko (Tabby & White) is usually the first to approach you to suss you out, Mitzy (Black & White) can take a while longer and likes to hide away until he knows he is truly safe. When they are happy, they will come out and explore, but will be quick to hide away again if there are any loud noises or sudden movements.

Niko has a grade 2 heart murmur. Heart murmurs are common in cats, and grade 2 is on the lower end of the scale. Whilst it’s not causing Niko any issues at the moment, please note that if he did need any further heart investigation or treatment in the future, it may be excluded by pet insurance as a pre-existing condition.

Niko & Mitzy are looking for a quiet home together, with no sudden loud noises to allow them to settle in as easily as possible. They are looking for a home together as they are very bonded to each other. In their previous home, they loved to play together and then would snuggle up for a grooming session afterwards!

Is there a home in Newcastle that is calm, peaceful and looking for two loving companions to start 2023 with?

How can I adopt Niko and Mitzy?

If you are interested in adopting both NIko and Mitzy, you can complete an online application through Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter, which will ask a variety of questions to ensure your abode is suitable for the pair.
