'Just amazing' - Newcastle United WAG shines light on city womens' charity with social media appeal

A Newcastle United WAG has shown her support for a Newcastle-based charity that supplies North East women with interviewing clothing, to help them into employment.
Charlotte Trippier, who is the wife of Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier, paid a visit to Smart Works, which is based in Mea Place on Ellison Place, in Newcastle’s city centre.

Hide AdSmart Works, which was established in 2018, work alongside referral agencies such as Job Centre Plus in order to support women in the North East who are struggling to find employment.
Through donations, Smart Works supplies unemployed women with interview clothing, as well as providing them with one-to-one coaching sessions to ensure they are fully prepared for prospective job interviews.
Charlotte took to Instagram, where she has 30.1k followers, to highlight the important work Smart Works do, and how others in the community can help.
In the post, Charlotte shared a carousel of images, showcasing the inside of the Smart Works centre, displaying the clothes they offer which not only includes clothing such as smart dresses and blazers, but also bras, tights, sports wear, jeans, accessories and more.

Hide AdAlongside their vast range of donated items that will be given to those who need it, they also offer name badges, lanyards, mending supplies, hygiene products and more - all of which were shown on Charlotte’s Instagram post.
She also shared an image of herself while on the visit to Smart Works, alongside the women who volunteer at the service.

They provide the women with one to one coaching and clothing to feel fabulous and confident in their interview.

Charlotte also shared a video, where she spoke directly to the camera about her visit to Smart Works.
In the video, Charlotte said: “It’s a fantastic charity that supports the unemployed women in the North East.
She continued: “They are absolutely amazing at what they do”.

Hide AdShe then went on to encourage her followers to donate any unwanted clothing to Smart Works, as well as to follow the charity on social media to keep up to date with their outstanding work.
Charlotte isn’t the only well-known North East person that Smart Works have worked with, as they have also been given donations by television presenter Steph McGovern, and have run events with Dragons Den star Sara Davies.
