Flump & Wham are 2 11-week old sisters currently looking for a forever home together. They are looking for a home with outdoor access, and could live with children of any age and other vaccinated & neutered pets. Flump & Wham are your typical fun loving mischievous young kittens! They were born at the shelter with two other kittens that have since been rehomed, but as they are the only two left they have become quite bonded to one another and are now looking for a home that would be interested in rehoming the pair of them together. In order to rehome a kitten, we do ask for a donation of £125.00 per kitten. Included in the rehome donation, all our kittens are vaccinated, microchipped & health checked. If not already neutered, neutering costs are covered by the shelter. Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter currently have 13 gorgeous cats looking for their forever home.

Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter was founded in 1896 and so has over 100 years of experience caring for the lost, unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned pets of the North East.

Chupa is an outdoor cat, who could live with children aged 5+. Chupa is a very sweet and vocal young lady who is very demanding of attention! She loves to be around people and getting cuddles. She is always at the front of her pen saying hello to people and is very excited to come greet people who go in to see her. She’s had a bit of a longer stay at the shelter due to recently having kittens, but now she is ready to find her forever home! Chupa is a big foodie and will a lover of treats. She will often act she hasn’t been fed yet even when she’s just eaten! Chupa would suit various homes, having lived with young children and dogs before without a problem. She adapted well to shelter life, and we imagine would adapt into her new forever home just as easily! Chupa is a fun-loving girl that would suit a home that has the time to give her the much-needed attention she loves whilst giving her the freedom to go outside during the day if she pleases.

9. Chupa (one year)

Milky is an outdoor cat, who could live with children aged 10+. Milky is a sweet young girl, who struggled to settle at the shelter when she first arrived. After a few days however, she slowly started to come out of her shell and now loves a good head scratch! She may quickly become spooked and run away. In her previous home, Milky has been said to be a very affectionate cat, loving cuddles and sitting on your lap occasionally. She would always let you know when she was attention, feeding or treats! Whilst Milky has lived with children before, we feel she may be suited to a new home that has slightly older children who may respect her space a bit more whilst she settles. She has occasionally hissed at staff when she has wanted to be left alone so may require children that may be able to understand her body language and know when she would like a bit of peace and quiet. Milky is looking for a nice quiet home to help her adjust to life in a new environment, those willing to give her the time will be rewarded with her lovely friendly personality!

Raven is an outdoor cat, who could live with children any age. Raven is a confident lady, who loves her food! She will be very vocal when she first sees you approach her pen. She’ll be looking for some snacks and some strokes, but also doesn’t mind doing her own thing wandering round the cattery if the staff are busy cleaning! In her previous home she has been known to have a wonderful playful side, and her favourite toys are balls, tassels and crinkle toys. She also occasionally enjoys sitting on your lap for a stroke. Raven has previously lived with kids and was friendly with them although her previous owner did say she got spooked by loud noises, therefore she will be best suited to a home with sensible children.

11. Raven (11 years)

Raven is an outdoor cat, who could live with children any age. Raven is a confident lady, who loves her food! She will be very vocal when she first sees you approach her pen.
