The 2023 edition hasn't even started yet!

We haven't even reached the middle of November but some parts of the city are already preparing for the 2024 festive season, and Newcastle's Theatre Royal has already announced initial plans for the site's pantomime next year.

This year's edition of the popular family play will see a production of Pinocchio take to the stage although the venue has already confirmed The Little Mermaid will be taking to the stage through late 2024 and into the New Year of 2025.

The production will be in place from Tuesday, November 26 2024 and will run until Sunday, January 12 2025 with tickets becoming available very soon.

The venue has confirmed bookings will be available for friends of the theatre from Wednesday, November 15 at 10am with advantage, school and community groups able to order tickets from Wednesday, November 22.

General sale tickets are available from Tuesday, November 28.

The cast is set to include some familiar faces to North East panto fans with Theatre Royal favourites Clive Webb, Chris Hayward and Joe McElderry returning to the stage once again.

This year's panto will start on the same day as 2024 tickets go on sale, on Tuesday, November 28.
