Officers are asking for information after alcohol worth £2500 was stolen from a micropub in Newcastle.

It was reported that a person had gained entry into the backyard of the Bear and Barrel pub on Hillhead Parkway, Chapel House around 11.40pm on August 27.

A man stole eight barrels of alcohol, worth £2,500 from the yard before leaving the area.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and officers issued an appeal on September 1, asking for anyone with information to come forward.
