New Premier League table predicted after Newcastle United win - plus Man Utd, West Ham & Chelsea draws

How the European qualification race between Newcastle United, Manchester United, Chelsea and West Ham United is predicted to play out.

With four Premier League fixtures remaining, Newcastle United remain firmly in the race for European qualification.

The Magpies emphatically bounced back from Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace by hammering relegated Sheffield United. United trailed after Anel Ahmedhodzic’s fifth minute opener but fought via an Alexander Isak brace, goals from Bruno Guimaraes and Callum Wilson, and an own goal from Ben Osborn.

Eddie Howe’s side remain 7th in the Premier League table, however moved one point behind Manchester United after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley at Old Trafford. Burnley are who Newcastle face next.

Sitting directly behind the Magpies are West Ham United. The difference is four points, but the Hammers have played a game extra. Meanwhile, Chelsea are five points behind with a game in-hand. Both drew against Liverpool and Aston Villa, respectively, on Saturday.

Finishing 6th in the Premier League table guarantees European qualification. 7th will also become an entry into Europe if Manchester City lift the FA Cup, or Man United do and finish in the top seven.

How will the Premier League table look come the end of the season? Using their calculations, FootballWP have predicted where each club will finish.
