Newcastle United's European adventure is over following the 2-1 defeat to AC Milan on Wednesday night. Disappointment still lingers but there's little time for a Champions League hangover.
In-form Fulham are the visitors to St James' Park in the Premier League this afternoon as the Magpies look to avoid a fourth successive defeat in all competition.
United suffered back-to-back losses to Everton and Tottenham Hotspur on their travels last week but a return to home turf, where they have only once in the league this season, is welcomed.
Howe's squad has been decimated by injuries in recent months but the return of Callum Wilson, Sean Longstaff and Dan Burn has come as a major boost.
However, Newcastle still remain without several first-team players. Fulham, who have won back-to-back matches by 5-0, also have a few of their stars out.
Here, NewcastleWorld takes a look at the players ruled out of today's fixture on Tyneside, and those that are a doubt:
1. Adama Traore - out
The former Wolves man won’t feature at St James’ Park - according to Marco Silva. Traore has featured just twice in the Premier League for the Cottagers since August.
2. Tim Ream - out
Ream suffered a calf-injury during their win over Nottingham Forest and has been ruled-out of action this weekend.
3. Issa Diop - out
Diop has been nursing a foot injury and whilst he is nearing a return, Saturday’s game will likely come too early for the defender.
4. Willian - doubt
Willian was withdrawn at half-time of Fulham’s win over West Ham last weekend with a muscle injury. Silva has revealed that he will be assessed again ahead of the trip to St James’ Park.
