Newcastle United’s squad just keeps getting better and better as Eddie Howe looks to realise his vision.

The Magpies secured Champions League qualification with a top four finish last season, surprising many in the process. Newcastle were always expected to join the top four conversation at some point, given their wealthy owners, but they were not expected to get so far so quickly.

After such a feat, expectations will only continue to rise, and Newcastle keep spending significant money in a bid to improve their squad.

This summer, they have spent more than £100million again to land the likes of Harvey Barnes and Sandro Tonali, although Allan Saint-Maximin does look likely to leave as Newcastle aim to satisfy Financial Fair Play rules.

Still, Newcastle are likely to go into the new season with one of the most valuable squads in the Premier League, even if they are not yet up there with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City. The value of the Magpies’ squad has grown significantly over the course of the last two years, and it is only likely to grow as the owners continue to make their presence felt, and as the club - they hope - continue to achieve their objectives on the pitch.

Here, with the help of Transfermarkt, we have rounded up the current squad values of each of the Premier League clubs to see where Newcastle rank among their top-flight rivals.
