New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Gateshead’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Gateshead’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Superpie, at 116 Coatsworth Road, Bensham, Gateshead was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 12.

And Yummies, at 40 High Street, Felling Central, Felling was given a score of three on May 11.

It means that of Gateshead's 198 takeaways with ratings, 115 (58%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
