New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Gateshead’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Gateshead’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Dunston Golden Chippy, at 57 Ravensworth Road, Dunston, Gateshead was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 10.

And Curry Hut, at 4 Crowhall Lane, Felling, Gateshead was given a score of three on January 10.

It means that of Gateshead's 201 takeaways with ratings, 120 (60%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
