A Newcastle takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Quality Pizza Express, a takeaway at 7 Broomy Hill Road Shopping Centre Broomy Hill Road, Throckley, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on December 12, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 310 takeaways with ratings, 186 (60%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
