Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to eight North Tyneside establishments

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of North Tyneside’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to two restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Relish The Caterer at Unit G5, Oslo Close, Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate, North Shields; rated on March 9

• Rated 5: Room 305 at Unit 2, 305 Whitley Road, Whitley Bay, Tyne And Wear; rated on March 8

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And five ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: The Mauretania at Denbigh Avenue, Wallsend, Tyne And Wear; rated on March 9

• Rated 5: The Beehive at Beehive Inn, Hartley Lane, Whitley Bay, Tyne And Wear; rated on March 8

• Rated 5: The Fat Ox at 278 Whitley Road, Whitley Bay, Tyne And Wear; rated on March 8

• Rated 5: The Foxhunters at The Foxhunters Public House, Preston North Road, North Shields, Tyne And Wear; rated on March 8

• Rated 5: The Royal Quays at The Royal Quays Public House, Coble Dene, North Shields, Tyne And Wear; rated on March 8
