North Tyneside's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

North Tyneside's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

A19, from 8pm June 19 to 6am June 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Silverlink to Holystone, carriageway and slip road closures for electrical works.

A19, from 9.30am June 20 to 3.30pm June 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Howdon to tunnel, Lane closure for maintenance works.

A1, from 8pm June 27 to 6am July 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 northbound, - Kingston Park to Seaton Burn, Signage for plate festival.

A19, from 8pm July 3 to 6am November 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Moorfarm to Killingworth, carriageway closures and lane closures for resurfacing works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
