Ponteland pub creates two ‘unique’ spaces for guests to host private events

The Blackbird Inn, on North Road in Ponteland, is boosting its offering to customers by creating a range of options for anyone wanting to host private events such as meetings or celebrations.

Hide AdGuests can now hire out the the former North East Pub of the Year’s Minstrel Gallery for up to 32 people seated or around 40 people for a standing buffet.
The venue is also allowing customers to hire out its outdoor tipi, which can take up to 65 people, for parties, celebrations or business gatherings.
Stuart Young, the owner of the pub, has highlighted that both options offer their own unqiue backdrop for any event.

Hide AdHe said: “We have regularly hosted events for people when they’ve asked but we’ve now decided to put this on a more proactive footing and showcase the spaces that can be hired for private use.
“Because it’s such a historic building which dates back to the 14th century, it has an atmosphere and look all of its own so it’s perfect for anyone who wants to hold a meeting or party with a memorable backdrop.”
Along with winning the coveted North East Pub of the Year title in last year’s North East Tourism Awards, the Blackbird Inn has also received a Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice award.
