The property offers four en suite letting bedrooms, as well as a superb, two-bedroom owners’/managers’ apartment, which can also be used as additional letting accommodation.

The pub is close to Northumberland National Park and attractions such as Cragside and the Cheviot Hills.

Owner Lawrence said: "It has been 20 years since we bought and renovated The Queens Head. It is a beautiful family home and business at the centre of the community. The Northumberland lifestyle is amazing and there is a lot of untapped potential within this area."

David Cash, regional director for pubs & restaurants at Christie & Co, is managing the sale and added: "The market for freehold pubs in Northumberland, especially those with letting rooms has been buoyant.

"In 2025 we completed on the sales of The Percy Arms at Chatton, The Farriers Arms at Shilbottle and The Angel Inn at Wooler, as well as many others across the wider region.

"We expect The Queens Head to appeal to regional, local investors and even those perhaps looking to relocate."
