Solar energy specialists donate £29K to regional charities

Based in Cramlington, SCJ Renewables has been providing solar energy and photovoltaics in the North East and across the UK for the last six years, and in that time, they have also been dedicated to giving back to the local communities through both offering their expertise and financial donations.
In 2024, SCJ Renewables donated £29,350 to several organisations and initiatives – some of its significant contributions included;

Hide Ad- Operating and maintaining Solar PV systems for charities such as Willow Burn Hospice in Durham and Maggie’s Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne.
- Making significant donations at the Solar & Storage Live and National Energy Efficiency Awards to benefit Solar Aid and Together for Short Lives respectively.
- Donating a Solar PV system and installation to Moody Logistics for its Annual Ball to benefit Core Foundations.
- Partnered with Moody Logistics to take part in the CEO Sleep Out at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland.
- Sponsoring Newcastle East End U15s Football Team and the Northumberland Darts Competition.


SCJ Renewables’ latest charitable endeavour has been supporting the work of Crawford House and The Sick Children’s Trust – donating £1000 to cover 25 nights of safe, supportive accommodation for families to stay close to their children whilst they receive treatment at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
