Drive Motor Retail Darlington Sales Executive Raises Money for ‘Men Who Talk’ Charity

A Sales Executive at Drive Motor Retail Darlington, Sam Finkill, has successfully raised £420 in support of the ‘Men Who Talk’ charity.

To raise funds, Sam participated in the Ultra White Collar Boxing (UWCB) fight match held at The Fed in Gateshead on Saturday the 6th of July and won his match in the first round.

Ultra White Collar Boxing is a unique opportunity for people with no boxing background to take part in boxing and raise money at the same time. So far, Ultra White Collar Boxing has raised £30, 329, 215 for charity by 280, 092 fundraisers with over a million donations.

‘Men Who Talk’ is a registered charity dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of men across the UK. Established in January 2022, the organisation offers free services to men aged 18 and older, creating a supportive online community where men can share their experiences and offer mutual support. The charity's social groups aim to provide a comfortable environment for men to discuss their mental health, share stories, listen to others, or simply be part of a community.

Sam said: “It’s been a great opportunity to be part of this initiative and raise money for a charity that is close to my heart. I appreciate the support from my colleagues at Drive, Chris, Dan, and Jeff, who were very accommodating and ensured I made it to all my training sessions and relevant events leading up to the night.

Jeff Parkin, General Manager at Drive Darlington said: “I am delighted that we were able to sponsor Sam at the charity boxing match, and it was great to hear Drive being read out as part of Sam’s entrance. It means a lot to us that we can give back to our community, and it’s great to see our staff getting involved in initiatives like this.”
