COVID booster jab Newcastle: Pop up sites and vaccination walk-in centres for all ages

Here’s where you can find a COVID-19 booster vaccination centre in Newcastle.

New booster walk-ins and pop-up sites have been made available to people in Newcastle.

The surge in Omicron cases has prompted a push for booster jabs in anyone over the age of 18, and Newcastle has a handful of drop-in and pop-up locations where anyone eligible for the vaccine can receive it without making an appointment.

Pop-up clinics

Pop-up clinics in the area are offering first, second and booster doses to anyone aged 16 and over.

The Church of the Ascension

Opening times from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday, 4 January and Wednesday, 5 January.

Offering first, second and booster doses of Pfizer and Astrazenica vaccines to anyone aged 16 and up.

Outer West Customer Service Centre

West Denton, NE5 2RA.

Opening times from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday, 4 January.

Offering Pfizer vaccines only.

Some sites offer those aged 16 and up booster jabs only, and a list of those can be found below.

All sites listed as booster-only are walk-in and appointment. Every site also offers a Moderna booster and all sites are open from 8am to 8pm.

  • Lemington Centre (NE15 8RZ) - Tuesday, 4 January
  • Molineux Street Health Centre, Byker (NE6 1SG) - Wednesday, 5 January – Saturday, 15 January

Grainger Market

No appointment needed for those wanting a first, second or booster dose at Grainger Market.

Open from 10am to 12:45pm and 1:30pm to 5pm, the site also offers vaccinations for 12- and 15-year-olds.

People under the age of 16 are advised to attend the site with an adult where possible, but will not be refused a vaccine.
