Do you remember what life was like in Newcastle in 1972?
Here we have 19 incredible photos showing what the city was like 52 years ago.
January and February 1972 were characterised by the Miners’ Strike and Tyneside life was very different.
We have black and white reminders of the streets of the city, from Percy Street to Pilgrim, Ouseburn to Sandhill.
All of these photos come to us courtesy of Newcastle Libraries.
Take a look and see what you recognise.
