Walk in the footsteps of your black and white heroes and go behind the scenes of the famous old stadium in an immersive tour.

Tours are available during the year, and prices vary depending on which tour you want to take.

2 - Mr Mulligan’s Golf

4 - Beamish

Although a little further out than most things to do in Newcastle, the museum is well worth a visit.

The world famous open air museum transports you back in time to show you what life was like in the north east in the 19th and 20th centuries.

5 - Baltic Centre of Contemporary Art

The famous gallery located on the banks of the Tyne has been a favourite spot for people of all ages for almost 20 years.

The gallery is free to enter, and has activities and works all of the family can enjoy.

No booking is required ahead of your visit.

6 - Visit the Angel of the North

An exploration of Newcastle and the surrounding area wouldn’t be complete without a trip to see Anthony Gormley’s famous Angel of the North.

The creation has kept watch over the A1 motorway since 1998.

The museum is a commemoration of George and Robert Stephenson, who spent 20 years in North Tyneside developing their pioneering ideas which helped spread railways and locomotives around the world.

10 - Prudhoe Castle 

Located to the west of Newcastle, the castle makes for a great day out for all the family.

20 - Tyneside Cinema 

With a 1930s art deco style, the independent cinema has three screens and shows all of the latest blockbuster hits.
