21 things you must do if you live in Newcastle
This is your Newcastle bucket list.
Newcastle’s a fun city, sure.
But sometimes it can be difficult to figure out what to do and what to see- especially if you’ve lived here for a long time.
We’re creatures of habit, always defaulting to the same activities, the same pubs and the same craic.
And if you’re stuck in a routine, you’re probably missing out on some of the best things the city has to offer.
So here’s a list of all the things you should definitely do if you want to experience Newcastle properly.

1. Walk the Millennium Bridge at night
Nothing beats the Quayside at night and walking across the lit up Millennium Bridge always feels special.

2. Brave the queue at Francescas
Beloved for its half pizza, half pasta option, Francesca’s is one of the most popular restaurants in Newcastle. You can’t book though, so be prepared to queue.

3. Explore the Victoria Tunnel
Stretching from the Town Moor to the river is a hidden 19th Century waggonway. You can take a tour of the tunnel from Ouseburn.

4. Go for a laugh at The Stand
The Stand is a great night out if you’re looking for something different. Their flagship Friday and Saturday shows nearly always sell out so it’s good to plan in advance.
