A brand-new bar and restaurant located in South Shields is already helping to enhance the nightlife of the coastal town, due to high-profile bookings.

Seb’s Bar & Restaurant, which opened in November, is located on the former site of a well-loved bar Tinker Smiths. However, the venue has had a complete transformation and re-fit, in order to open back up as Seb’s Bar and Restaurant, serving both food and drinks to the people of South Shields.

The venue has been designed to have a bar on one side and a dining area on the other. In an interview with the Shields Gazette, owner Chris Joyce said: "Getting the food and atmosphere right is what’s most important to me.”

Seb’s Bar & Restaurant have been designed with a big city cocktail-bar theme, the logo a light-purple cursive font against a darker purple background. It was named Seb’s Bar and Restaurant after the godson of the owner.

Seb’s also have live music performances in their venue, and managed to book a DJ who is known for performing in the iconic Ibiza venue frequented by the likes of Craig David and Joel Corry - Ibiza Rocks.

International DJ Cee entertained South Shields last night on December 10, after musician Paul Skelton performed a set of trance anthems.
