As we approach the colder months, and the Christmas period is creeping upon us, we are on the lookout for festive ways to spend our evenings. Well, what could be more festive than a winter tipi experience?

Lazy Bear is a brand-new winter tipi coming to Newcastle this weekend. The pop up will arrive on Friday November 4 at Newcastle Central Station. The tipi will feature all of the best winter favourites, such as cosy blankets, fire pits, festive-themed drinks and delicious food.

The festive-themed drinks will include classics such mulled wine and cider. However, Lazy Bear have also made their own spiced gin in collaboration with North East distillery Poetic License. For those who don’t drink alcohol, hot chocolate, tea and coffee will also be available alongside a selection of various soft drinks.

The food available include desserts from North East company The Train Line, who are known for their unique sweet treats. There are also pies from Pieminster - an award winning, independent pie company from Bristol. In December, Lazy Bear will introduce a special Christmas menu, but details of the menu are currently under wraps.

Although the perfect way to spend an evening, Lazy Bear will also be open throughout the day for a cosy cafe experience. Daytime food options will include pastries, soups, and desserts. Lazy Bear will be more than just a cafe and bar though, as they have created an event programme, with events running every Saturday. Lazy Bear has plans to transform their venue into a Santa’s Grotto for children on one of these days - with games, goodie bags and elves! Although Lazy Bear will usually be walk-in only, booking for Santa’s Grotto is essential.

Lazy Bear’s opening hours will be between 12pm and 11pm. Takeaway coffee will be served from a hut from 8am.  For more information, please visit the Lazy Bear website.
