British Kebab Awards 2025: Three North East restaurants make final shortlists

Three North East restaurants have made the final shortlist of the 2025 British Kebab Awards.

Two Newcastle restaurants and one in Whitley Bay have been shortlisted among the finalists of the 2025 British Kebab Awards.

Vegano, in Newcastle city centre, The Bake One, in Gosforth, and Turknaz Restaurant, in Whitley Bay, are all among the finalists in a number of different categories.

Turknaz Restaurant has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Kebab Restaurant Regional’, with The Bake One being situated among the best in the country for the ‘Best Lebanese Restaurant and/or Takeaway’.

Vegano is up for the award in the ‘Best Vegan Kebab (Restaurant or Takeaway)’ category.

The British Kebab Awards website states: “As champions of the high streets and purveyors of culinary excellence, the British Kebab Awards celebrate the vital contributions of local kebab takeaways, restaurants, and industry suppliers on a national scale.
