Halloween 2022: Rothley Lakehouse opens its doors for Cluedo inspired getaway - how to get involved

Rothley Lakehouse will be throwing its doors open this Halloween for a board game inspired escape room experience - with the Morpeth based location one of only three selected for the event.

Hasbro, the makers of Cluedo Escape: Treachery at Tudor Mansion, picked the National Trust site as one of three idyllic locations to mark the launch of the new board game.

Cluedo Escape offers a free of charge stay at Rothley Lakehouse and the location is equipped with the new boardgame, as well as a selection of luxury Cluedo-themed props to create the ultimate murder mystery stay.

Only three lucky groups will be able to experience the “ultimate murder mystery stay” and tap into their inner Colonel Mustard to solve the mysteries found in the new Cluedo game.

Nicola Fox-Haggarty, Commercial Director at Hasbro UK and Ireland, commented: “Cluedo: Treachery at Tudor Mansion combines the best aspects of the classic murder mystery with the current trend for collaborative escape room inspired entertainment to create our most immersive whodunnit to date.”

When is Cluedo Escape: Treachery at Tudor Mansion taking place at Rothley Lakehouse?

The dates for the Rothley Lakehouse Cluedo Escape getaway will take place between October 28 to October 31 2022.

The luxury lakefront cottage is steeped in history and sleeps up to 16 guests.

Those murder-mystery enthusiasts who want the chance to win a working holiday at one of the three National Trust locations can head to Cluedo Escapes now to register their interest. Booking will then go live on October 10 at 12pm and the first person to book will be the winner.

• Rothley Lakehouse, Northumberland 28 – 31st October. Sleeps up to 16 guests.
• Horton Court, Gloucestershire. 18-21st October. Sleeps up to 10 guests.
• Selworthy Farmhouse, Somerset 28 – 31st October, Sleeps up to 9 guests.
