House prices in Tynemouth: This is what you can expect to pay for a property near the coast

This is how much the average Tynemouth property costs, according to Zoopla.

One of the most sought after places to live along the North East coast is Tynemouth and Zoopla has revealed how much on average it will cost to live there.

The coastal town is popular due to its iconic beaches and wide variety of bars and restaurants.

The housing market is known to go up and down so it can be often difficult to work out or plan for how much a home will cost.

So according to Zoopla, the average property in Tynemouth in the last 12 months (June 2023 to June 2024) sold for £388,127.

The housing website has also broken down the average price of each type of property that has been sold in the seaside town over the last year.

If you’re hunting for a detached house in Tynemouth, then the average price at the time of writing stands at £550,000.

The cost of a semi-detached property is coming in slight more expensive, with the average sale price sitting at around £565,161.

If your heart is set on a house, then terraced properties are most likely to be the cheapest option, with the average cost of a terraced home being £386,600.

According to Zoopla, the average cost of a flat in Tynemouth between June 2023 and June 2024 was £221,848.

The average cost of a house in Whitley Bay over the last year was £323,373.
