The luxury pod dining experience which takes place on Newcastle’s Quayside, aptly named Dine on the Tyne, is returning to Newcastle this winter. The experience has a festive-feel to it, offering a cosy, private atmosphere in which to enjoy food. The Dining Society launched this unique experience back in 2018 and has attracted over 50,000 guests since then.

The custom-made pods are transparent, complete with indoor heating, a personal speaker system and free wifi. The pods host up to ten guests, and diners can enjoy an hour and a half in the pod, priced at £45 per person.

The experience, which is organised by The Dining Society, involves a luxury three-course menu from award winning restaurant Fusion, which is usually located in hotel-spa Ramside Hall. Diners will be able to enjoy luxurious food while taking in the breathtaking views of Newcastle’s iconic bridges, as the pods will be pitched opposite the Newcastle Law Courts, at the former site of the “Quayside Seaside”.

Augusta Gilchrist, of The Dining Society, said: “We’re making Christmas 2022 bigger and better than ever and we’re confident that everyone will love what we have in store. It has been an incredibly difficult year for everyone, so hopefully this will allow family and friends to end 2022 on a high. In previous years we have gone with a more traditional Christmas menu but we want to keep developing and evolving the experience so pairing up with Fusion who people will know from Ramside Hall will step up the food offering and offer something different for our regular customers this Christmas.”

Dine on the Tyne will be open from November 17, however booking opens today (October 26) from 5pm. Please visit The Dining Society website to book.
