1: Gino Barbers

With a five star overall review from a massive 165 critiques, Gino Barbers on Denton’s West Road can call itself the best barber shop in Newcastle. The site is open between 9:00am and 6:00pm every day except Thursdays, when it operated between 9:00am and 7:00pm and Sundays, when customers are welcomed between 10:00am and 3:00pm.

2: The Hoi Polloi

Grainger market is home to one of the top barber shops in the region with The Hoi Polloi. The site has a five star rating from 68 reviews and, with staff who have worked across the world, they offer a contemporary experience in addition to selling their own merch and products.

The Newcastle shop is open between 10:00am and 7:00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays with the site closing an hour later than usual on Thursdays. Saturday hours are 9:00am – 5:00pm. Appointments are available to make through the shop’s website.

3: Barber’s Lounge

Placed just off Westgate Road, Barber’s Lounge has a similar 68 reviews to The Hoi Polloi resulting in a five star overall rating. It also has the longest opening hours of any barber shops on this list, remaining open between 9:30 and 7:30 every day with the exception of Sundays, when it is open to customers between 11:00am and 6:00pm.

This Elswick Road shop has a five star rating from 43 Google reviews and is open between 9:00am and 8:00pm on Thursday – Saturday and 11am – 6:00 on Sundays with their website offering online booking as well as a small web shop.

5: Henry’s Barbers

Henry’s Barbers has been a mainstay in the barber scene across Newcastle for years, having opened in 1953 and it claims to be the oldest barber shop in the North East with the company first starting back in 1890 before being renamed to its current title in the 50s. The Highbridge shop is open between 7:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Saturday and has a five star rating from 31 reviews.
