Newcastle boasts some of the prettiest and most scenic streets in the UK.
The city centre is filled with gorgeous architecture mainly thanks to the redevelopment by Richard Grainger in the 19th Century.
Grey Street, for example, boasts the likes of the Central Arcade and Theatre Royal. In 2010, it was voted the best street in Britain by Radio 4 listeners.
But it’s not Newcastle’s only beautiful street in the city centre.
So many of the streets are filled with amazing restaurants and bars today, adding to the atmosphere.
Thanks to Newcastle Libraries, we have 11 amazing photos of the streets we’ve picked to show just how beautiful and historic they are.
