It has been a busy couple of weeks for the courts. With disorder taking place across the North East including Sunderland, we have seen plenty of people work their way through the logal system over the last two weeks or so.
These are nine of the people jailed or given suspended sentences for offences in or around the North East during the first half of August.
They all appeared at Newcastle Crown Court unless otherwise stated.
1. Sammy Mohabath
Sammy Mohabath was sentenced seven years behind bars after he admitted to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and MDMA in South Tyneside. | Northumbria Police
2. David Ollive
David Ollive from Coventry was cahrged with conspiracy to supply cocaine to the North East and was jailed for eight years. | Northumbria Police
3. Paul Sloan
Paul Sloan of Sunderland was given two yearsin jail, suspended for two years on arson charges. He caused £,500 worth of damage. | Northumbria Police
4. James Allsopp
James Allsoppthrew a brick through the woman's window, slashed her car tyres, pushed her, made threats and carried knives after a break up. He has been jailed for 18 months, with a five year restraining order. | Northumbria Police
