Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter has a number of animals that are looking for their forever home.
The shelter, which was established in 1896, helps animals that are unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned - as well as reuniting lost animals with their owners and finding loving new homes for those who are no longer wanted.
Here are 17 cute animals who are in need of a home - you can find out more at: https://www.dogandcatshelter.com/.

17. Stripes
Stripes is a lovely little lady who initially found the shelter environment slightly overwhelming. She has slowly been building her confidence and has begun to show staff her sweet nature, often now crying for attention when she knows they’re close by! Now that she is more comfortable, she will often climb onto our knee for a fuss, rubbing into us to get as much attention as possible. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
18. Henry
Henry is a wonderful boy who has settled straight in at the shelter. He is a friendly and vocal lad, who loves to interact with staff and volunteers and have a wander around the cattery. He comes running straight over when he’s called – especially if there’s a chance he might get a treat! | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
