Let's look back at Newcastle in 1975.

The streets of Newcastle are still recognisable in this collection of photos from 1975, however there are some significant changes.

For starters, Newcastle United's home St James' Park looks entirely different despite still being visible on top of the hill.

Can you remember when cars were able to drive right up to the entrance of Central Station? Or what about when the Central Motorway first opened making travel easier throughout the city?

Jesmond Dene and Exhibition Park haven't changed much and still provide much needed solace in the middle of the city landscape.
