The Great North Run 2023 was certainly one to remember!
Yesterday’s Great North Run was a memorable one.
60,000 runners took part in the annual pilgrimmage to South Shields, marking months of training, fundraising and hard work.
However for many the celebrations were cut short by the extreme weather which took hold of the North East later that afternoon.
Flooding meant many were stranded at the finish, with the Metros being temporarily suspended causing delays and some of the longest queues people have ever witnessed.
