Point Blank Shooting is a venue guaranteed to be a fun experience for Dad’s who love video games such as Call of Duty. At Point Blank, whose Newcastle location is on Newgate Street, you can enjoy delicious food and drinks, while participating in “exceptional shooting realism”. The venue has private ranges, replica guns, 132 inch screens and much more to offer.

Take a tour of St James’ Park

For those die-hard Newcastle United fans, taking a tour of the legendary stadium is a dream come true. St James’ Park offers a range of stadium tours, which include a classic tour, rooftop tour, and an autism friendly tour. The tour will guide guests through the iconic stadium where Newcastle United have played since 1892.

Axe Throwing

Axe throwing may be another activity which dad’s have always wanted to have a go at. Lucky for the Newcastle dad’s, the first indoor axe throwing range is right on our doorstep. Hatchet Harry’s Axe Throwing is located on Forth Banks in the city centre.

Immerse yourself in history at Newcastle’s Castle

For the history buffs, a trip to Newcastle’s Castle will be the perfect day out. The historic attraction is a family friendly site, which can be visited to explore the castle. They also host tours, as well as hold workshops, screen movies, and give interesting talks of various history subjects.

Visit a retro arcade bar

Some of the older Dad’s may want to revisit their childhoods, well they can do so at one of Newcastle’s retro arcade bars. NQ64, located on Pilgrim Street is filled with retro gaming machines, and serves up amazing themed cocktails and craft beer. Four Quarters on Dean Street is much the same, with food options also.

Rio Steakhouse

Lastly, one for our foodie Dad’s! Rio Steakhouse, which has two locations on the Quayside and in Jesmond, is a hotspot for Newcastle United footballers. The Brazilian steakhouse are known for not only their delicious authentic dishes, but also for their uniqueness. The meat is cut at the table, which is an aspect of the restaurant which is loved by Newcastle residents.
