1. Town Moor
There is something special about the Town Moor in winter. Whether it be a huge expanse of frost or dew clinging to the grass. Paths across the site are ideal for a stroll and easily accessible from the city centre, Jesmond, Gosforth and Sandyford, amongst other nearby locations. Photo: Harry Green - stock.adobe.com
2. Jesmond Dene
A family favourite across the North East, Jesmond Dene is a true gem. It is easy to get lost in the hills and greenery of the Dene, and if you are feeling ambitious, you could walk through to the Quayside. Photo: Google
3. Quayside
Speaking of the Quayside, the North East icon is usually most quiet over the days around Christmas and still offer incredible views of the city's stunning bridges - just remember to wrap up warm! Photo: Photo by Gareth Copley/Getty Images
4. Saltwell Park
Saltwell Park in Gateshead has a rich history, existing as a popular site for a walk since 1876.
