‘Alien Superstar’ drag brunch to take place in Newcastle this spooky season

Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK is back on our screens, with three exceptionally talented North East queens participating in this year’s contest.

For those drag race lovers wanting to experience the art of drag first-hand, look no further as Newcastle is home to many amazing queens with exciting events taking place right here, in the city of Newcastle.

With Halloween fast approaching, two unique Newcastle queens are hosting their very own drag brunch with an “Alien Superstar” twist.

Mercury.co.uk and Saturn Addict are the queens in question, and will be hosting Newcastle’s first ever Retrograde Drag Brunch on Sunday, October 29 at Revs De Cuba on Newcastle’s Cloth Market.

The drag extravaganza will consist of 90 minutes of “drag brunch chaos”, which will include drag cabaret, fun games, sing-a-longs, live vocals and fashion.

Mercury.co.uk and Saturn Addict will be joined by a cast of drag artists from Newcastle and beyond.

Those who purchase a ticket will be greeted with a mimosa cocktail and chips on arrival to snack on, before enjoying a brunch dish which can be chosen ahead of the event.

Brunch dishes available include Chorizo Hash, Churros and Pancake Stack, Classic Beef Burger, Spicy Fried Chicken Burger, Breakfast Quesadilla, Chicken Quesadilla, Breakfast Burrito and Full Grilled Breakfast.  Four vegan dishes are also available.

A selection of drinks including cocktails, prosecco and no alcohol options are available for the bottomless brunch which will last for 90 minutes.

Tickets for the Retrograde Drag Brunch start from £15, and can be purchased from the Eventbrite website.
