Amber Rose Gill became Newcastle’s favourite TV geordie when she participated and went on to win ITV’s Love Island back in 2019.

Since then, the straight-talking 25-year-old from Gateshead has continued to remain in the spotlight for positive reasons.

Amber Rose Gill is known as the only Love Island contestant who won it on their own. Amber is an advocate for mental health, being one of two former Love Island contestants (alongside series three’s Kem Cetinay) enlisted to create a series for ITV last year, The Full Treatment focusing on mental health and wellbeing.

Most recently, she has opened up on her mental health struggles in an interview with OK Magazine, where she explained how seeking validation from other people was taking a toll on her mental health.

In a surprising career choice for a Love Island star, in July of this year, Amber released a fiction book Until I Met You published by Mills and Boon. She posted an excited announcement to Instagram in April showcasing the book cover and providing fans with details.

Amber also suggested that she is a bisexual woman, earlier this year. Further helping to use her platform and voice to champion under-represented groups such as the LGBTQ+ community.
