Hide AdThe show, which will be celebrating 20 years this year, has been hosted by the iconic Geordie TV presenting duo Ant and Dec since its beginning. I’m a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here (usually shortened to I’m a Celebrity) shows various celebrities take part in gruelling tasks (known as bushtucker trials), in order to win stars for their campmates. The winner of the show is crowned King or Queen of the Jungle, and past winners include Vicky Pattison and Scarlett Moffatt.
It has now been announced on Instagram that I’m a Celebrity will be returning to our screens at an earlier date than usual. A collaboration post by the I’m a Celebrity account and the ITV account, showed the date and time of the return of I’m a Celebrity, with a caption that read: “Mark your calendars…the countdown is on!” Ant and Dec shared the announcement via their own Instagram account.
The Instagram caption also included an Australian flag, as this is the first time in two years that the show will return to its original location in Australia. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the show’s filming location had to be changed to a castle in Wales. Although the show still worked well in the different location, many fans missed the sunshine of the Australian jungle.
