Award-winning cocktail bar to open at The Gate this spring

An award-winning cocktail bar, will be opening in Newcastle’s retail and leisure complex The Gate this spring.

The bar in question - MOJO, has locations across the UK, including Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Harrogate and Sheffield. In April, Newcastle will be added to their list of locations.

The cocktail bar has a rock ‘n’ roll vibe and an Americana style, combining delicious cocktails with home-made classic American food.

The music played in the bar focuses on the alternative genre, hoping to bring a modern and unique edge to Newcastle’s nightlife.

At the new bar, which will be located on the ground floor of The Gate, customers can book different spaces in the bar for special events, as well as cocktail making classes with highly qualified mixologists.

MOJO’s managing director, Martin Greenhow said of the new opening: “Newcastle is a fun, exciting and vibrant city, so we couldn’t think of a better place to be opening our seventh site.

We’re thrilled to bring the MOJO experience to The Gate – people are in for a Rock n’ Roll treat, full of great food and killer cocktails.”

The Gate are happy to welcome MOJO into their complex, as the centre manger, Inge Johnson Mitchell explained: “We are very excited to welcome MOJO to The Gate, with their brilliant mix of cocktails, American style food and a fantastic music soundtrack, which we are sure visitors will thoroughly enjoy.

MOJO joins a great lineup of bars already at The Gate including The Mayfair, The Hustle, The WonderBar, Wetherspoon and The Lofts night club.”
