Adam Kay is the author of junior doctor tell-all memoir, This Is Going To Hurt.

Former junior doctor and acclaimed author Adam Kay, will be heading to Newcastle’s Tyne Theatre and Opera House in 2024, to discuss his book Undoctored: The Story of a Medic Who Ran Out of Patients. 

Television writer Kay shot to fame after releasing a memoir back in 2017 about his former experiences as a junior doctor, titled This Is Going To Hurt.

This Is Going To Hurt became an award-winning bestseller and even had a television adaptation created and released in 2022, starring Ben Whishaw in the lead role as Kay.

Kay has since released further books depicting his medical experiences, including Undoctored: The Story of a Medic Who Ran Out of Patients. 

Undoctored has been adapted for the stage, and recently enjoyed a successful sell-out run in the West End.

Now, North East fans of Kay will be given the opportunity to see the show themselves, as it will take to the Tyne Theatre and Opera House stage on Friday, February 16, 2024.
