Brand-new bar and restaurant brings the big apple to Newcastle’s city centre

A brand-new New York inspired bar and restaurant is set to open in the heart of Newcastle next month.

Manahatta Newcastle, which is owned by Arc Inspirations, the company behind the successful Monument venue, Banyan is set to open on Saturday, November 18.

Expanding on Newcastle’s growing bar and restaurant scene, Manahatta will bring a unique bar experience unlike any other in the city, while also creating 75 new jobs within the venue.

Manahatta will serve a selection of drinks with a main focus on handcrafted cocktails, where guests can order supersized versions of their favourite drinks, as well as mouth-watering food options inspired by NYC, such as The New Yorker burger, Steak Frites as well as vegan, vegetarian and gluten free dishes.

Manahatta also has other locations across the UK, including Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham and Manchester and is known for its incredible themed bottomless brunches, something that is sure to be a hit with the people of Newcastle.

The bar and restaurant also transforms into a vibrant nightlife hotspot after 8pm, where talented DJs will take to the stage.

Manahatta will open in Collingwood Street, which is home to some of Newcastle’s most vibrant nightclubs and bars in a Grade II listed former bank building,

The venue’s interior design is said to also reflect the stylish bars and restaurants of New York City, with a long bar, neon signs, disco balls and swing chairs among the main features.

Within the venue, there will also be a second bar available for hire as well as a private dining room space.
