Hide AdEl Guapo is set to ‘shake up’ Newcastle’s food and drink scene, celebrating tequila mastery and cocktail craftsmanship, while also boasting the biggest margarita menu Newcastle has to offer.
But it’s not only Mexican-inspired beverages El Guapo will be providing, as they will also be serving up delicious savoury and spicy tacos for us to feast on.

The venue has also undergone a transformation to re-brand into El Guapo, featuring artwork and decor inspired by Mexico, including rustic furnishing with earthy tones and bright colours throughout the entire venue.

“We have had an amazing 18 months as Pepo, but we’re now ready to explore our new concept harnessing our team’s insane love for agave cocktails, so we set about creating the world’s biggest Margarita – and we can’t wait to sprinkle a large dose of Mexico into our beautiful venue on Pilgrim Street.”
El Guapo will be open Thursday to Sunday from 5pm until 12am, with the later hours of 5pm to 2am on Friday and 12pm to 2am on Saturday. For information, please visit the El Guapo website.
