Brand-new rooftop garden to bring Ibiza to Newcastle city centre

A brand-new rooftop garden in Newcastle’s city centre is set to open to the public this weekend.
The rooftop garden bar which will be seven stories above ground level, will open its doors to the people of Newcastle on Saturday, June 24, providing the city with expertly mixed cocktails, residents DJs, dancers and more, bringing a Balearic party vibe to the North East.
The venue is set to become the ultimate city summer hotspot, offering bottomless brunch packages, pizzas courtesy of local business Gingerino’s, and more. The venue is hoping to cater to all looking for a ‘summer vibe’, from date nights to group nights out.
The design of the roof terrace has been described as ‘playful and bold’, paying homage to party island, Ibiza. The decor compromises of vibrant wall murals, bamboo fencing and pendant-style festoon lighting. The outdoor venue is also fully heated.
While Altitude promises to bring a sense of Ibiza to Newcastle’s city centre, for those who prefer a quieter night out, there will also be ‘chill out zones’.
To access the ‘hidden’ rooftop garden, there is a wooden alcove on Clayton Street, located to the side of NX Newcastle.

To celebrate the launch of the brand-new rooftop garden, Altitude are running a competition on Instagram, with a £100 table package up for grabs.
The independently owned venue will also create 20 new jobs in both full and part-time positions.
