Brand-new vintage shop in Newcastle scoop up national award

A new vintage clothing store located in the heart of Newcastle’s city centre, has won a national award.

Hide AdFriday Vintage, which is located on the Hippy Green at Old Eldon Square only opened in May of this year, but has already managed to scoop up a national award voted for by the public.
The fashion vintage store was awarded Best Vintage Shop in the Sudocrem Great British Pre-Loved Awards, which was launched by the skincare brand to support sustainable second-hand buying.
OTC Marketing Manager for Sudocrem, Amira Seffar, said: “Sudocrem’s Great British Pre-Loved Awards is part of our ongoing commitment to encourage recycling and reusing and we are delighted to award Friday Vintage with Best Vintage Shop.

Friday Vintage, which is owned by Laura Jackson and her partner Nick secured the award by winning 60% of the public voting, and Laura said of their win: “I am thrilled to be awarded the Pre-Loved Award from Sudocrem, especially as it is an award voted for by the public.

Friday Vintage stock handpicked leather jackets, boots, printed dresses and more spanning across various decades from the 1950s to 1990s, but have a particular focus on 1970s fashion.
Friday Vintage is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11am until 5pm.
