Brewery gives fans the chance to watch Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final

Heaton-based Anarchy Beers is giving Newcastle United fans who can’t make it to Wembley the chance to watch the Carabao Cup Final on Sunday, March 16.

The Magpies booked their place in the final of the competition for the second time in three years with a 4-0 aggregate win over Arsenal last week.

Newcastle United have been given a ticket allocation of 31,939 for the final against Liverpool at Wembley Stadium, meaning some fans will be left disappointed at not getting tickets.

Due to this, Anarchy Beers will be hosting a special screening of the match on two giant screens inside the brewery’s taproom - with doors opening from 12pm.

Tickets for Anarchy Beers’ event will include a free pint of Wor Beer - with the brewery making a donation from every cask, keg and can of its Wor Beer sold online or through pubs and other outlets, to fan-funded NUFC supporters group, Wor Flags.

As well as Anarchy’s craft beers, which are made on site, the bar is fully stocked with wine, spirits and soft drinks.

Slackjaw’s, a local gourmet burger company, will also be on site to serve 100% British Angus beef burgers, from The Baconater – served with dry cured streaky bacon – and The Peppa-Jaw, with peppered beef pastrami, to Proppa Nutta, which comes with chilli bacon jam and peanut butter.

There will also be a vegan option available.

Phil Beaty, Anarchy Beers Ltd operations manager, has revealed that a similar event for the 2023 final was popular so the brewery is aiming to go bigger and better for 2025.

He commented: “The 2023 final saw 300 tickets sold and we’ve increased capacity since then so now we can hold almost double that.

“Who needs Wembley when you’ve got plenty of Wor Beer, the best burgers, and Newcastle in the League Cup Final.”

Tickets for the screen cost just £5.99 per person and include a free beer.
