Newcastle’s annual Christmas Light Switch On will be taking place next Tuesday, November 15 from 6pm on Grey Street. Metro Radio’s top presenters Steve and Karen will be hosting the event, as they have done in previous years. There will be various forms of festive live entertainment, from games, competitions and performances to an appearance from Santa Claus himself! Up and coming North East music star, Tilly Lockey will also be performing at the event.

Gateshead’s leisure and shopping hub, Trinity Square will be hosting a Hollywood themed Christmas Light Switch On on Thursday, November 17 at 4pm. Excitingly, Trinity Square has not booked a special guest to turn on the lights and are holding a competition instead - the winner being invited to switch on the lights.
