The salon of a highly-rated Tyneside hotel has broken through stiff competition and bagged itself one of the industry’s most prestigious awards.
Around 400 leading figures from the beauty and spa industries gathered at London’s Park Plaza for the Professional Beauty Awards 2022.

City Retreat at Grey Street Hotel, Newcastle, scooped up one of the most sought-after prizes of the night, nabbing itself the Boutique Salon of the Year award.


The salon, which nabbed a top prize at the awards, is located in the Grade II listed building and comprises three treatment rooms, a nail bar and a pedicure station.

A menu of skin and body treatments using the Elemis product range are featured alongside various procedures including pedicures, gel nails and non-surgical face lifts.
The Professional Beauty Awards are the longest-running awards for beauty, nails, spa and aesthetic industries and recognise outstanding customer service and treatment delivery.
Entrants were judged by independent industry experts who attended a live final in London.

Grey Street’s is owned by the Malhotra Group, with Chief Operations Officer Atul Malhotra commenting on the awards win.
