Countdown begins for Newcastle’s most celebrated racing event - last chance to buy tickets

The countdown is on for one of the most celebrated racing days in the North East, which will see Newcastle Racecourse packed with race-goers, luxury hospitality, entertainment and so much more. 

The JenningsBet Northumberland Plate Festival is set to take place on the last weekend of June, starting on Thursday, June 27 and finishing on Saturday, June 29.

Over the three days will be the Seaton Delaval Handicap Stakes, the Gosforth Park Cup Night, as well as the Northumberland Plate Day.

But it’s not just the racetrack attendees can look forward to, as an exciting line-up of brand-new hospitality packages, delicious food and drink options as well as a thrilling programme of entertainment.

One of the new hospitality package offerings is the Centre Course VIP Enclosure, which is priced at £95 per person. This particular package will allow for attendees to view the track up close, while enjoying a range of food, drink and seating options as well as a tent-covered area. 

Other hospitality packages include; The Private Box Package, Plate Day Lounge Package, Park View Restaurant Package, Gosforth Suite Package, and The Gainford Village Pods Package. 

Executive Director of Newcastle Racecourse, Paul Elliott said: "We've witnessed an overwhelming response to this year’s Northumberland Plate Day, and with only a few hospitality packages remaining, we encourage everyone wanting to join us with the celebrations of Plate Day to secure their spot now for a day full of entertainment and excitement.”

Limited tickets are still available, for both luxury hospitality packages as well as general admission tickets, which are priced at £43.
