We are now in the middle of the Easter holidays and kids across the North East may be running out of things to do.
With that in mind, we have put together some of the best day trips to towns and cities across the Country which can be reached from Newcastle.
From coastal and rural retreats to city centre excitement, these are some of the top places to head for a day trip from Newcastle Central Station.
5. Corbridge

6. Durham
Closer to home, Durham's Cathedral, shops restaurants and bus routes across the county to extend the trip make it an ideal day out.
7. Tynemouth and Whitley Bay
Another North East option is Tynemouth and Whitley Bay. Kids will enjoy the coastline Aquarium and beaches while the amount of cafes will give plenty of lunch options.
