DJ Schak to host and headline Christmas show at NX Newcastle

North Shields born DJ Schak will host and perform a huge Christmas show this December, following an incredibly successful year for the star.

For the show which is named ‘Hometoon Christmas Special’ Schak will be joined by fellow musicians and friends such as Dundee duo Kimmic, Northern powerhouse Danny Bond, and fellow Newcastle artist Ellie Scougall at NX Newcastle on Saturday, December 16 at 1pm.

Schak became a well-known artist in the North East music scene after releasing her debut single Moving All Around (Jumpin’) in 2022, and his second single Inferno in May of this year.

But what really caught the attention of the public was Schak hosting flash mob performances in various locations across the North East, including in a B&Q store, a Tyne and Wear Metro train, the Shields Ferry and on a local bus.

Most notably, he performed a DJ set outside of St James’ Park following Newcastle United’s victory against Southampton at the Carabao Cup.

Following this success, Schak has performed at festivals such as Creamfields, and has performed alongside international DJs such as Patrick Topping and Calvin Harris.

Speaking about his ‘Hometoon Christmas Special’ show, Schak said: “This is my home city and my biggest headlining show ever. The people of Newcastle are on a different frequency to anywhere else in the world and this is why I love being where I’m from. This night is going to be high energy. Just total love and unity.

“Designing a show around me, putting a line-up together that includes some of my best mates and playing in front of my people is the best Christmas gift I could ever have.

“I want to spread joy and happiness with everybody. I want them to have the best night of their lives and make memories that they’ll never forget.”

Tickets for Schak’s ‘Hometoon Christmas Special’ will go on sale Friday, November 3, with pre-sale at 10am, and general sale at 1pm.
